TV Shows: Daredevil Season 2 - Easter Eggs

Before we get to it, here are a few MUST READS before you watch Season 2. This is so that you can go, "AW HELL YEAH!! IT IS FROM THAT STORY ARC! OMG! IT IS THE DOG! AWWWWWWWW NOOOO! WHERE IS BULLSEYE?! NO NO NO! BULLSEYE!!!!" (In case you want to read it digitally, then I would suggest getting a kindle. You can read the comics and THEN watch it on Netflix. $49 Kindle) Misc: Daredevil vs. Punisher: Means & Ends Punisher: Punisher MAX: Born Punisher: Year One Punisher: Welcome Back Daredevil: Daredevil By Frank Miller & Klaus Janson Vol.1 Daredevil By Frank Miller & Klaus Janson Vol.2 Daredevil By Frank Miller & Klaus Janson Vol.3

Here are all the easter eggs that I've spotted during Season 2:

  • Biker gang Dogs of Hell first appeared on Agents of Shield’s episode, Yes Men (Season 1 Episode 15)
  • DA Samantha Reyes was last seen on Jessica Jones.
  • Standard Heating Oil, same company as the company in “A Most Violent Year”. Could we see a crossover with Oscar Issac’s character? No but… we wish that Oscar Isaac could be in every movie.
  • Claire Temple refers to Luke Cage as the big strong guy.
  • Frank talks to an old man who was a Vietnam Veteran. Frank Castle was a Vietnam Veteran in the OG comics, but is now a Afghan Vet in the current conti.
  • Pat Kieran appears as the ONLY newsman to continuously appear in the Marvel Universe.
  • Roxxon appears. As does Asano Robotics (part of Roxxon). What does this mean?
  • First few episodes had a couple of allusions to Civil War.
  • The Punisher learns that The Blacksmith killed his family. The Blacksmith is a Skrull… OR he could be the wrestler, ‘Blacksmith’ Winslow Smith, first appeared in Thing #29 1985. Alternatively, he could be Elvin Daryl Haliday, used to be known as Blacksmith and is currently known as Rage.
  • Cybertek, run by Hydra and created Deathlok, was mentioned.
  • The Gladiator, Melvin Potter, upgrades his billy club. Shooting lasers and atomising things. No. Just kidding. It gets a minor upgrade… nothing awesome but yeah…
  • Tony Curran, who plays Finn, acted as Bor, Thor’s grandpa, in Thor:The Dark World. Appeared in Blade 2 and X-Men:First Class. Are they connected? No. Well.. maybe… who knows.
  • Matt Murdock signed with his right. DD was/is a lefty in the comics.
  • Old disc that says MICRO. Could we see Microchip in the future?

Where the hell is Bullseye? Screw Nobu. Sorry but that is kind of a spoiler.

This season has been quite light on the easter eggs but it was so good.
