Speculation: Daredevil Season 2 - Who is The Blacksmith?
Daredevil Season 2: Who is The Blacksmith? Three people:
- The Blacksmith who is a Skrull, introduced in The Initiative.
- ‘Blacksmith’ Winslow Smith, a wrestler. Appeared in Thing #19 (1985)
- Elvin Daryl Haliday, FKA Blacksmith but CKA as Rage.
What we know about The Blacksmith on the show: Drug dealer
It can’t be The Blacksmith Skrull because he is a Skrull named Jerry. It can’t be Elvin Daryl Haliday because he is a good guy who actually happens to be a kid.
My only guess is that The Blacksmith, if we’re taking from the comics, is actually Winslow Smith.
First appearing in Thing #29 in 1985, he was/is a wrestler. Initially in a tag team match with the Jersey Devil against The Things and Dynamite Dunphy, the match was interrupted by Gator Grant. They were all in the Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation.
Many fighters in the UCWF were given strength augmentation from the Power Broker. This basically means that if The Blacksmith is really Winslow Smith then he will have super strength.
Then again, it is most likely Colonel Ray Schoonover, who served with the punisher in the army. He first appeared in The Punisher War Journal #4 (1989) and last seen in the next issue, The Punisher War Journal #5 (1989).
In the comics, Colonel Ray Schooner smuggled cocaine out of Vietnam.
In the show, he is the one who organised the events that led to the death of Frank Castle’s family.
The Blacksmith is said to be instrumental in killing Frank’s family and Colonel Schoonover organised it.
The Blacksmith mentioned in Season 2 is Colonel Ray Schoonover.
He died. Frank pulls out a disk called Micro. MICROCHIP!
Microchip was somewhat mentioned by Skye in Agents of Shield Season 2 Episode 7. A crime scene junkie hacker who goes by the name of Micro.
