Nintendo Switch: What we've learned from the video

nintendo-switch.jpg

https://youtu.be/f5uik5fgIaI The Nintendo Switch video dropped and everyone went bonkers! Especially me.

This new console is definitely aimed at busy people who are constantly on the go and would only have an hour or two to play video games at home when they are able to. Just imagine playing your favourite RPG and you have to head off.

Going with Nintendo trying to bring people together, this lightweight console definitely helps out a lot in that factor. Just imagine bringing your console wherever you go and being able to go all multiplayer whenever and wherever.

So ANYWAY, here is what we have gathered from the video (we'll probably do a video of our own but well... soon.)

The Dock

This dock looks like your basic charging station with two hdmi outputs. You'll probably be able to plug your main set in, play and let it charge.

This here shows us that the controller can be taken out and split into two.

Slotting it into the sides of the main game unit which will transform it into a portable console.

The battery life has been said to be very good so hopefully it will last a whole... 3hours? If we took a flight from one side of the world to the other, that will probably be 12 hours. If it lasts 12 hours then Nintendo will have access to my whole bank account.

As revealed previously, they will be using cartridges. This looks like a DS type cartridge. Could it be a 128GB flash drive type? Definitely able to hold enough data.

As in the previous two screen caps, we can see an obvious headphone jack. Luckily they didn't decide to use a bluetooth headphone... HMMM APPLE? _|_

They're smart enough to have a stand for us which is great.

Look at that guy, just chilling with two controllers like how you would play with your Wii.

NOW WE ARE TALKING. Using the split controllers for quick two player gaming. Of course that means that we can gokart the fark out wherever the flarkin hel' we are.

Just imagine, two consoles means that we can have a 2v2 or mayyybeeee....

4v4 BIATCHES! Of course these people are 1 per console but the possibility of 4 people being connected to 1 console is crazy.

In case anyone noticed, the green light below indicates the player number that you are designated to and there are 4 of those. FOUR of those means that we can have 4 players connected to one console. SMASH BROS BRO!!!! 4v4? 8v8? 16v16? 100x100? Just imagine the crazy Mario Kart madness. The beautiful chaos.

Oh wait. Yes. That is a pro-controller. Ok. Whatever.

Who gives a shit.

Here is a image that we stole from a Jap Site. (Not those kinds but if you happen to know of a few really good free ones then do let us know!)

So there you have it! the multi-player madness possibilities with the Nintendo Switch.

The visual quality should be great as it will be powered by Nvidia Tegra. Battery life is currently up in the air but guessing that it IS Nvidia Tegra, it might last a good 4 hours of non-intensive gaming.

Here are the specs for Nvidia Tegra 4. Nintendo might be using something different but we can get a rough idea from here:

What games should we expect? Judging from the video, we can expect Legend of Zelda, Mario Kart, NBA 2k17?, Super Mario and... all the usual suspects like FINAL FANTASY and Sonic the somewhat fast hedgehog.
